Tow Ball Height

Apex 22bhs. Has any towed one of these with a Range Rover Sport. If so could you measure from from ground to top of ball. Want the ideal height to keep the TT level. Cheer's

My understanding from when I setup my hitch is that, when the trailer is sitting level (unhitched) the ball should be just about 1.5 inches high.

So, you measure the height to the top inside of the coupler of the trailer when sitting level. Then the top of the ball on your TV hitch should be 1" to 1.5" higher than that measurement.

Yes, if you back the truck up to the leveled trailer. When you look at the coupler, picture where the top of the ball would be if it were connected. The top of the ball, unhooked, should be about 1.5 inches higher. These were the instructions for setting up my Blue Ox hitch. I would think others should be very similar. What kind of hitch is it?

And remember your not leveling the camper your making the front and back the same height to the ground. My ball for my apex 288bhs is at 25 i think...
