Question TV Mounting?

I recently purchased a 2017 Coachmen Catalina 251RLS. I want to place a TV on the wall where the floorplan shows "TV/entertainment" area. Does anyone know if there's a backer-board in the wall that will hold a mount? The TV is a 40inch and I think it weighs about 8-9lbs.

Usually there is a little sticker on the wall where you'd put a TV mount. Mine had a sticker and there was a 24x24 wood backer inside the wall. Think my tv is a 42" and the mount is very solid.

Mine had a sticker but the actual board behind the panel was about 8 inches higher. Knock knock!!

My TV backer seems to be a piece of sheet metal.

I wonder if they just look for scraps they have laying around to use as backers in the wall.

A stud finder is your friend in this instance. I was lucky in that the entertainment center and the bedroom shared a wall and the pocket doors allowed me to look inside the wall to locate support for the bedroom tv. A stud finder and an oversized cable hole helped me locate a "stud" for the swing arm tv mount. I posted on the adventure: http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...-151555-2.html

Good advice above for sure.

Lots of different mounts available here:

I ordered on of the mounts early in the week and it was delivered yesterday.

Just make sure that your screw length is short enough. The walls are pretty thin.

Thanks!

Thanks to everyone for the valuable advice! I did find the backer board. Took several "knocks" but I got it. I will get a stud finder! LOL - maybe that will help me in more ways than one!
