TV sound through Jenson stereo
Hi I have a TCL TV and Jenson stereo DVD/CD BT player. Is there a way to get the TV sound to go through the Jenson player?

While I don't have a Jensen radio most of the units that have have seen have audio input Jacks and these are what the wall mounted Jacks are wired to. If your TV has audio out Jacks these should be connected to the wall Jacks. The third Jack, a yellow one, is for video. You then set your radio to accept sound from these Jacks, usually something like Aux.

I had to run an audio cable from my tv to the aux jack on the front of my Jensen radio. If your tv is bluetooth you should be able to pair them, I do it with my phone all the time. There is actually a Jensen app that you can download to your phone to control the unit.

Like Davidjb says, try the AUX setting on the radio. On my Coachman Mirada the TV was wired through the Jensen. Just turn on radio, put it on AUX, and adjust volume.

TV through Jensen
I just upgraded to a Jensen. You should have 5 RCA wires from the TV to the stereo. Three are for playing DVD and deliver the video and audio from the player to TV (they may be replaced with an HDMI cable depending on the model Jensen). The other 2 wires go from the audio out on the TV to the audio in on the Back of the Jensen. Set the Jensen mode for AUX 2 and you should be good to go. You can use the AUXILIARY 1 jack on the front but the rear connection is neater.

Our TV and Jensen both have an HDMI jack. It was a simple matter to run an HDMI cable between the two and select HDMI as the input for the Jensen when watching the TV.

Jensen Audio
The HDMI cable connects the DVD audio and video to the TV for playback on the TV. To play the TV sound through the stereo you have to run a separate cable from the TV audio out to the Jensen input as I described in my previous post. If you TV doesn't have audio out RCA jacks, you can get an adapter to connect the headphone jack to an RCA splitter. I did this on an earlier TV and it worked well. On the Jenson, the front panel input is AUX 1 and the rear input is AUX 2 on the menu selection. Most TVs also have a selection somewhere in the menu to turn off the internal speakers when connected to external speakers.

Looks like the only audio out I have is a SPDIF. The TV model is a TCL 32D2700 and stereo is a Jensen AWM968

Looks like you may be out of luck. I purchased the JWM6A which has digital and optical inputs. I tried playing TV audio through the Jenson by setting the Jensen in HDMI as mentioned in another reply, it didn't work on my system but is worth a try. If your TV has Bluetooth you might try pairing it to the Jenson and streaming the audio that way. Good Luck

I'm surprised your TV doesn't have an earphone jack at least.

I too have a Jensen JWM6A. When I said the HDMI cable was feeding the audio to the stereo I was mistaken. I have a red/white audio lead pair running from the output on the TV to the input of the unit.

That is the way I have it connected. My TV also has optical output. I am going to pick up a cable and try it out. For now I reused the original cables to get started and test everything out. So far I am pleased with the Jensen.

You are more apt to get a response if you start your own thread with a descriptive title.
