What is this

We just got our Chaparral 28rls. In the bedroom above the light switch is a plastic diamond shaped piece about 1-1/2" long mounted on the wall. It has a double wire coming out the back and into the wall. Wire is very light gauge.

That is my only thought, however it is right above the floor register.

I would agree. Our Columbus has the same thing...also pretty much right above a floor register.

Our thermostat (diffrent brand) is mounted along the outside wall behind the slide. So when it is in you can not get to it. And if the heat is on it will never read being behind the slide and in the draft of the Seals.. They do not think these out very well, I assure you that.

I think it's a sensor for a second AC unit.
