Wires going to tv ?

Hi To All

I have a Coachmen Freedom Express, and I have a question about my TV wiring, in the ceiling there are two box’s one has a 12v outlet with a coaxial cable going to the back of the TV. Here is the one that I can’t figure out, the other box has three wires, one red, one white and one yellow that plugs in to the back of the TV also. Does anyone know what these three wires go to? Or better yet, where do they come from?

The book that came with the TT does not say anything about them.

Thanks!

They are the cables for the DVD player that is part of your audio system. Red and White are audio L & R and yellow is the video in.

What is the unit in question? Either or both the TT and the media unit...

Yes, dvd videos as in movies but not blue ray. You have to make sure the mode button is pushed to load the disk. Not only it will play movies, but it will play them through the speakers in the master bedroom, living room, and/or outside depending on what you select.

The book says compatible formats Audio CD, CD-R, R/W. Mine is a Jensen model AWM910.

If mine only plays audio cd's, why would they hook it up to the tv anyway ?

It might be for the MP3 feature. I know our AWM965 pulls up a screen that shows all the songs on the MP3 player and allows you to search that way. He is correct, the 910 is NOT a DVD unit. I assume, the MP3 screen, but if you have the cable to connect it to your player, I would test and see if it does display it on the screen. The red and white are probably inputs from the TV in case you hook something up to the TV, it will play through the stereo.

On a side note, it is important to have specifics to what unit or even just the age of the unit to allow for a more timely answer. Example:

"The factory stereo in my Dodge Ram will not play my CD's"

15 replies on what to check and look for later and someone asks "What are the specifics on the vehicle?"

"...Oh it's a 1981 ram." [Edited for own ignorance. Prior to 81 they were just D series]
All previous repliers reaction

I did not realize you had a smaller Freedom Express. Your unit does not have the same system as I have. Yours only does audio. Sorry about that.

Update on TV wires, I called Coachman today, they only used the red and white wires and they go to the AUX input on the stereo. They had the wires hooked up wrong on the TV, the wires are for the sound output, that way you can get the sound to the four stereo speakers.
