Roof ladder

I would like to hear others opinion on needing a roof ladder. The TH I'm getting does not have one. I've always had them on my previous trailers. Is the hassle of removing and storing the ladder worth it or should I just use an extension ladder at hone?

My TT does not have a ladder nor does it have any supports behind the wall to support a ladder. I have a 12' step ladder at home that I use for roof access but I have yet to come up with a practical solution for roof access while traveling.

I ordered mine with one... I have not used it as I am fat. I have climbed on others. Last unit did not have one and wished it did. The main thing is it is there if i need it on the road. I ordered one of these and it seems good enough. I store in the outdoor storage.

We ordered our trailer with one, I like the ability to get up and sweep the slide out off of debris, I'm a HVAC tech by trade and like to be able to reach the A/Cs if needed if trouble arises.

However I did have to reinforce the ladder as the factory only got one side of the ladder in a stud, the other side was only attached on the siding.

Never needed one on the road none of the four campers that we have owned in 30 plus years had one.
