12 volt pump

I accidently hit the wrong switch on panel. Pump probably ran for half hour without water. Everything I read says it should reset after cooling down. wont run. checked inline fuse and its good. have power at the fuse. what next?

Is there a "reset" button on the end of the pump motor? If pump motor has a thermal circuit breaker inside it's either reset by a button or should automatically reset when housing cools down.

If no reset button, make sure motor is cool, power is available to pump wires, and if not running give the motor housing a good RAP with a screwdriver handle. Sometimes that jars the motor back into live.

First thing to determine is whether or not there is actually power to the pump's pressure switch and when pressure is down, the power goes to the motor.

One of the many reasons why a good Multi-Meter is so essential when one owns an RV.

If you end up needing a new pump, of late I've been reading really good reviews of the Shurflo Revolution 4008 Series pump. People have been saying that it is very quiet. I haven't used one, it would be high on my list if I needed a new one.

The Shurflo 4008 Series pump does not have a reset switch. Instead it has a thermal breaker built in to the motor. When the motor cools it should reset itself. I would check power input to the pump and/or the fuse.
