2014 Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite Antifreez Inlet

Have water back flowing out of the Antifreeze inlet fitting on our RV. New to Forest River brand products. I am new at all RV's for that matter. Hooked to city water and water trickles from antifreeze inlet. Previous owners apparently had this issue as well. They had a Y fitting in city water line with one fitting attached to the city water inlet and the other to the antifreeze inlet forcing city water down both. I am of the opinion this should not have to be plumbed this way or should it?

What could be the problem?

The antifreeze inlet should be on the suction side of the water pump, not the city water inlet, and there should be either a three way diverting valve or a tee with a shutoff valve on each leg - one in the suction from the freshwater tank and one in the suction line for antifreeze.

The city water inlet should be on the outlet side of the water pump.

There should be a 3-way valve in the line that allows you to either select the fresh water tank or the antifreeze line.

I believe that you have a couple of problems if your description is accurate.

1) Sounds like you either have the valve set to the antifreeze draw or it's leaking through.

2) When you're hooked to city water the water pump has a check valve that should prevent water from flowing backward through it so it doesn't fill the fresh water tank (or in your case, flow out the antifreeze line). So you may need to rebuild your pump.

P.S. Welcome to FRF
