2018 Apex Nano Artis PDS1-130-1240E DOA after 1 month

So we have our brand new 2018 Apex Nano. We went on 1 weekend camping trip and when we got back we found our Artis PDS1-130-1240E water pump will not start unless we give it a smack. I don't really trust the reliability of this pump and rather than do a warranty replacement of the same model, we are looking to upgrade to a better model depending on feedback from our dealer.

I know there are a million threads, reviews and webpages comparing water pumps but I thought I would just go with experience of forum members.

We are looking at these similarly priced pumps:

Seaflo SFDP1-030-055-42 with 4 year warranty.

or

SHURflo 4008-101-E65 3.0 Revolution Water Pump with 2 year warranty.

It may seem obvious to get the one with the 4 year warranty...

I don't pay allot of attention to warranty times. Myself I would go with the Shurflo they are very dependable and rebuildable. I have them in the RV and on AG spray equipment and have never had one outright fail.

Just talked to the dealer and they will ship out a new SHURflo 4008-101-E65 to replace the Artis for free as they don't sell SeaFlo pumps...

So hope this one lasts a bit longer than a month...

I am really happy now as this saves us a lot of time and money.
