2109s - Question about water lines to freshwater tank

I'm getting ready to de-winterize and sanitize and was looking at the fresh water tank and I see I have 3 lines to the tank plus the drain line on the bottom. I never noticed the 3rd line near the top before.

One is the large corrugated freshwater fill, then there is the 1/2" line on the side toward the bottom of the tank which must go to the pump suction side to supply the camper. But what is the 3rd 1/2" line that enters the tank near the top? I was trying to trace the lines in the pass-through storage, but they go up inside under the bed nightstand area where I can't see them.

I was thinking it may be some way to fill the tank while using the city water hookup since it's near the top of the tank, but I don't see any valves for that. The only valve I have anywhere around the pump and water lines is on the suction side of the pump which is for the antifreeze inlet I think.

My 2019 has a water diverter in the shower to conserve fresh water. It allows the return of water to the fresh tank. And yes you can use it to fill from city water.

I don't think I have a diverter like that, just a regular shower faucet.

Perhaps it was optional and Pre plumed?

Yes I bet that’s your vent; at least on my 233SS it is the vent. As it fills with water, the air has to go somewhere...

By the way, if you trace it it should trace back to the upper portion of the city filler port where the air hole is..

Vent/overflow. Fill your tank until it reaches the pipe at the top of the tank. When the water flows into that pipe you should see water start to flow out under the trailer.

Thanks everyone, I bet it does connect to the vent that has the little screen on it by the tank fill cap. I should have thought of that myself!
