3065W windjammer Water heater issue

Hi.... need some help please. We have 2011 3065W Windjammer. Water tank propane heater, control panel light DSI Fault light is red. Goes out and then comes back on. I heard a bang from the back of the trailer , thought my son fell in the shower. Husband has cleaned out the area to see if a spider has made a mess but a day later the red light was back on. What does DSI mean, sorry but I cannot find it in the manual. Also I am receiving zero help from the Dealer. Just received the trailer only July 16 2012 and this is the second problem. But I still love the trailer. Any help is appreciated.

DSI= Direct Spark Ignition (no pilot light). Do all your other gas appliances work properly like your stove. It may be a gas regulator issue or possibly the electronics for the heater if all your other gas stuff works right.

It might have been a "hard light." If bugs have built a nest in the flue, gasses can build up in the flue area causing a "no light" on the first attempt to call for heat. After a "purge cycle" that may not have cleared the unburned propane from the water heater area, the second attempt to light off, could have lit off the unburned gas as well as the fresh gas.

If it happens again I would examine the flue for a blockage.

We're having the same thing happen with our light. I'm going to have to check the flue too.

Don't forget to check for a strong spark! Saw it again 2 days ago on a brand new, straight off the lot XLR! The fork fingers that produce the spark were out of whack causing a small explosion on the 2nd light. If its not a extremely bright flash with a strong snap it's not going to light the first time.

I think the spiderweb thing was just a memo sent out to all dealers to use for an excuse!
