Antifreeze hose for water input
I have an antifreeze hose inlet to the pump for winterizing. It is in my basement. I added 3ft of hose to it and now I can pump fresh water in if the fresh tank runs dry. Would have been handy the last tie we camped and ran out of fresh water. I have a honey wagon to haul off grey water, so this setup should serve us well.

Are you sure that line runs to the freshwater tank?

It does not run to the fresh water tank. It runs directly to the pup to suck in anti-freeze for winterizing.

To clarify... you’re not using this setup to fill your fresh water tank but to supply fixtures inside the trailer, right?

We do the same thing when boondocking. Took me a couple of times trying to fill the water tank with a homemade funnel and 5 gallon bucket filled with fresh water before I had the apithany!

You are filling the freshwater tank or you can also supply your interior faucets.
I run the hose into my 5 gallon water cube, turn the settings to winterize and run the outdoor shower hose into the fresh water fill and turn on the hose. You could also use for toilet or interior sink, but putting the water directly into the fresh water tank seems the best.

You are not filling your fresh water tank if you're only using the antifreeze induction hose/valve IF your set-up is like most. That antifreeze valve in one position pulls liquid from an external jug to pump inside OR in the other position, it pulls FROM the fresh water tank to pump inside.
It's different if you're using the outdoor shower hose which the OP is not.

Or you can use the Shower Miser (if you have one) to direct the water into the tank

Correct... the pump doesn't care whether you pull from the fresh water tank or a jug to pump fresh water into your R/Vs plumbing. I've been doing this for many years.

The Shower Miser is designed for the situation where you are dry-camping and wish to take a shower but not in the gallon or so of cold water that flows before the hot water reaches the showerhead.
When you turn on the shower in Shower-Miser Mode, water flows out of the tap, but instead of reaching the shower-head, it is redirected back to the fresh water tank. In normal use, you would do this until warm water reaches the tap, then switch to Normal Mode and take a warm shower.
To fill the fresh water tank from a bucket of water, set the valve by the water pump to draw from the tubing, as if you were drawing water. Go to the shower and put it in Shower-Miser mode. Turn on the pump. Water will be pumped from the bucket to the shower valve and then on to the fresh water tank.

No. It's a fairly new innovation. I would guess that only 5-10% of RVs have it.
See to see what it looks like.
There are kits to add the feature, but it does involve adding plumbing through the walls and floor.
