Atwood GC6AA-10E doesn't work on electric

Hooked up to shore power, my water heater isn't working on electric, only gas. In checking the model, it does show it as gas/electric with a 12V start for gas. I was going to attempt some troubleshooting and the first thing I was going to look at was the heating element, removing it and checking the resistance with my multimeter (simplest/cheapest first). But can't seem to locate the heating element, nor any sort of cover that it might be hiding behind. I've downloaded the pdf file for the atwood 6 and 10 gal water heaters and it doesn't really reference anything. I've looked for some sort of service manual, but of course can't find any, just references to people that want to fix it or sell me a new one for a price of whatever.

Is anyone familiar with this model water heater? The owners manual isn't much help either.

I'm pretty sure the electric element is located on the BACK side of those water heaters.
Usually behind a rectangular box/cover.

Did it work on electric before? On my previous tt with an Atwood water heater, there was an on/off switch located where the electric power line connected to the water heater. Perhaps it is in the off position. Just saying........

Yes it did work before. Also to be a little more honest, I'm pretty sure I fried the heating element when I got to my winter hang out. I always empty my tanks (all of them) when towing, and I believe I either left the electric switch in the on position or hit it inadvertently and turned it on (next to the sink in the bathroom). Hooked up the electric 1st then the water DOH! which I never do.

So it's not just that it's easiest to check first, it's just the most probable issue.

Now I have to figure out how I get to the back of the WH without yanking the whole unit.
