B&B city water connection

Does the B&B city water connection have any type of pressure relief built into it?

I've read posts on various RV forums saying to press on the center of the inlet filter screen to relieve pressure in the line. Except, the screen in mine doesn't seem to move at all.

I wasn't sure if the B&B model has that capability or not.

(I searched, honest, but couldn't find anything)

This is the one on my motorhome, not sure if there's a backflow preventer on the back of it or it might just be the plumbing fitting.

The screen comes out. Just be gentle and pry it out. Then, you'll see the check valve "button" to press.

It has a built in check valve to prevent water from discharging when the pump has pressurized the system (boondocking).

I am guessing some are able to force the check valve open by pressing the inlet filter screen.

To release the pressure in the system why not just open a fixture or the low point drains or the water heater p&t safety valve?

Ok to fill that line with AF. I have not done that before, but I could see the freezing problem.

What a great place to have a bust leak!

Good idea youroo. I would love to see the few that force open the check valve while pumping AF!

Does the same hold true for the black water flush? Thought I read where it had a check valve as well! If all the pressure is off the system by opening faucets and low point drains, would not the water in the city water and black water drain out on its own with out force? AF should displace most of the air when the pump starts filling the lines. Just a thought.

The check valve for the black tank flush and the black tank flush system is separate from the fresh water system. My black tank flush check valve is under the bathroom vanity.

Found it, thanks! Good news is there was no water behind it when I pushed the button. I already drained everything and pumped AF through the system then left the low point drains open.
