Bathroom sink overflowing

Hey everyone, I just bought a new 2021 Salem Hemisphere HL 22RBHL,

On our maiden trip the bathroom sink on two occasions has overfilled into the bowl when showering and the monitor shows 2/3rds full. The shower itself doesn’t overflow.

Any ideas on why this is happening?

Thanks!!

Not sure, but it sounds like a vent problem. All sinks and showers need to have a clear vent to the roof or the side of the camper. Follow the vent lines and make sure they are clear.

Thanks, I’ll have to look at that when I get home, I haven’t been on the roof yet ( no ladder ).

I did notice that there is a vent near the P-trap under the sink when I was looking for the winterizing hose.

Just odd to me that it fills up and the shower being a lower drain doesn’t .

That is likely your Air Admittance Valve that you see, used in place of an exterior vent. You can sometimes hear it working (can be a flutter-like or groaning sound) when you drain the sink.
