Black tank check valve?

Hi all.
I have a 2018 Cherokee 294rr that I bought new.
First trip out, I tried using the black tank flush. After about a minute of nothing flushing out of the dump valve I noticed water coming out of the connection for the hose. I haven’t tried to use it since then. I have read a few posts where folks have stated that there is a check valve and it may be installed backwards? Anyone know where that might be on this model? I can’t seem to find it.
Thanks so much for any responses.

Welcome from New Jersey, See if you can gain access behind where the hose connects, There is a anti syphon device and will have a check valve attached to it, mine never worked right from day 1.
