Captain Skip ....wrote: "I tightened the connection on the incoming hose to what I'm assuming is the check valve, cleaned up all the spilled water and tried again.....nothing. No water went into the tank. I kept the toilet open so I could see - nothing. What else do I need to do? "

I would suggest perhaps that the 'check valve' is seized.
You can try and take it apart and see if it is working or replace it.

That was too bad that you had to deal with the water spraying everywhere.

hope this helps

Make sure your black valve is open or the toilet is open, otherwise don't know unless the check valve is in backwards???????

Had same issue...repair facility told me that we needed a regulator as home pressure is about 100 psi and the rig is built for 40psi. They fixed the blown pipe as a warranty issue, figuring the lines weren't connected well.
Doesn't leak now, but the whole system is flawed. Can't put any solids down or it jambs up on the way to the tank.
