Black Tank Vacuum Breaker and Tank Rinser Failed.

So I thought I had dodged the freeze bullet. Went camping last weekend no leaks. Arrived home at the storage lot which has a dump station. Hooked up the hose to the black tank flush turned on the water and water comes pouring in from above my wet bay. Take out the fuse panel and the black tank breaker valve is wet. It appears the vacuum breaker has failed.

Put on the new one turn on the water and now water is not reaching the black tank.

So it appears that the vacuum breaker has a one way check valve. I suspect the tank rinser also has one and has failed closed. I'm guessing that with two check valves water was trapped between the vacuum breaker and the tank rinser and froze. Anyway that is my guess.

I just ordered a Camco Tornado. Hopefully the old rinser is not epoxied in but only silicone.

Not sure why two check valves are needed.
