City water and fresh water tank.

I noticed while on our camping trip this weekend that water was dripping out my fresh water tank overflow tubes. Strange, considering that there was no water in my FW tank. Or, at least I thought so.

Checking the control panel, it showed my FW tank completely full. Strange, since I did not put any water in it.

I drained the FW tank and afterwards noticed that there is a small flow of water coming out the FW drain tube as long as I had my city water on.

So, I am assuming there is some kind of mutual connection between the FW water tank and the city water connection? Considering both have to send water to the RV faucets. I am thinking there is some kind of check valve/ball that is suppose to keep the city water from flowing into the FW tank?

Thanks,

Anyone able to tell me where the pump may be located/access point on a 2016 Heritage Glen?

Since you're asking for model-specific information and not General type information, I suggest you start a thread in the Wildwood sub-forum, where most Heritage Glen owners are.

There is no standard location for water pumps. They vary wildly between brands and models.

Does this mean Fonzie's suggestion in post #2 didn't work for you?

Nope...just being a little proactive. Where I store my RV is a few miles from the house. Getting all the info I can before I head out to work on it.

I was just asking since that solution hasn’t always worked for some of us. Uncle Gene’s water pump had a wrinkled o-ring around its anti reversing valve.

If no one tells you where pump is, then start your pump and listen for it through out the trailer. Then you will have to access it through a door, a removable panel, from an outside storage access etc etc.....

Open a faucet to force pump to run while you are looking for it.

Water Pump location

On my 2017 Heritage Glen the pump is located immediately behind the panel that houses the City Water input connection, hot water heater bypass valve and black water tank flush water input connection. Note: the hose that sticks out that takes a suction on the anti-freeze containers connects directly to the water pump.

At first I was assuming there was some kind of panel outside. Nope, no panel. The exterior shower was right above the city water connection, so was thinking I had to remove that to get to the pump. But, finally saw the panel below the bathroom sink...there it was...

Thanks for the hint.

Do believe it is fixed. I did the process of letting it run through the pump numerous times and assuming that fixed it.

I did go ahead and access the pump just to check it out. Glad I did!!! First thing I noticed was the water in the area. Kicked on the pump and noticed water was leaking at the fresh water tank connection. Tightened all the connections and no more leak. Dried the compartment and ran it a few more times to check it out.

Drained the FW tank and connected turned on the city water. Did not see any water draining out of the FW tank. So, looks like it is fixed.

Thanks for all the help!

We had the same thing happen on our 2014 Sunseeker 3010DS. Turns out the regulator we had the hose attached to on the city water connection had gone bad and there was an increase in pressure from the city water faucet at the same time. Once I replaced the regulator the issue was solved.
