City water feeding into on board water tank

30WFKSS .... City water is feeding back into the on board potable water tank. I use an inline water pressure regulator in the city water hose. Is there a check valve in the water pump to prevent this action when hooked to city water?

There is, and it's not uncommon for them to malfunction. I'm not positive, but I believe they're generally in the discharge side of the pump.

Yes, there is a back flow valve in the pump. I had the same problem last week, but I was lucky. Running the pump for less than a minute cleared whatever was allowing the city water to backflow into the fresh water holding tank. It is functioning OK for the time being.

Your 30WFKSS is the twin of my 3008W, so I am guessing your water pump is under the bathroom vanity. If you have not already, remove the screws out of the flimsy divider on the right and you should be able to see everything. As stated above, city connection ties into discharge of pump and any check valve would be right there. I keep my TT at my rural property or I would look and report.

Thanks. I used the on board water and it cleared the issue for a week. Back to home base and the problem is back. Going to run the pump again and try to clear the problem.
