Clear Elbow for sewer hose

Does anyone leave their clear elbow attached while driving?

I see no useful value to even have one.

Yes, I use a clear elbow when dumping, so I can see when the water is running clear when flushing the black tank. But no, I don't keep it attached when driving.

The clear elbow won't fit in my sewer hose storage location, so no. And I really only use it when at a full hook-up camp site. At the dump station I just stick the end of my sewer hose into the opening at the dump station. In my personal opinion, if there is anyone waiting behind me at the dump station it's just rude to hold them up while I take the time to hook up a hose to flush my black water tank. I only flush mine at a full hook-up site. Or if I am headed to the dump station and my black water tank is low, I will hook up the flushing connection at my camp site and fill black water tank to 2/3 before departing to the dump station.

Yep. Kept a end of line valve and then clear elbow on for convenience for thousands of miles and hundreds of days of towing.

They are useful when trying determining when your black tank is clean.

My cap won't stretch that far and I wouldn't travel without a cap or this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NCS7GE...ing=UTF8&psc=1 to be sure I'm not leaking blackwater while travelling.

Looks like ependydad covered this. Maybe the link will be helpful.

I have a clear 45 at the RV, needed the 45 for the change of direction the clear is an added bonus so I'm not wasting time on waiting for that little dribble that sounds like much more than it really is. But you'd have no way of knowing that.

Yeah, I don’t see where driving has much effect. Maybe we misunderstood?

I think they were asking if anyone leaves it attached to their dump port.

I like the clear 45°. Helps to see if I've rinsed the tank well enough. I don't leave it on, may have to change the position anyways. Maybe just me but I think a 90° creates more bends than needed.
