True... but... there have been multiple posts here of folks losing their fresh water tank contents due to siphoning going down the road and most of them have put a shut-off valve on the overflow. Not saying this is what the OP has but it could be.
One other thing... at a recent R/V show we seen two units that were pre-plumbed for a washer/dryer and there was a plastic pan on the floor with a drain attached so if the washer overfilled/leaked, it would catch in the pan and run out the drain to the outside.
