I changed one out 2 yrs ago and wasn’t a hard job but had to remove the potty to get enough room, 2hr job
Are you on the road? I am not even sure if this would stop the leaking or not but: Could put a gallon jug of water nearby, turn off water pump and relieve pressure to the system before going in. Flush and rinse with water jug. My unknown is if will still leak when water pressure is reaplied.
When I did mine I added a shut off valve and a potty wand for extra cleaning. By adding the shut off valve I will be able to shut off the water and use the showers wand(other soars of water) to flush, if it ever happens again.
Oh ya, after I had already ordered the vacuum breaker, my wife decided to mention she wanted a better potty something more than plastic. So yep bought a new potty; what’s the saying: happy booty happy life(something like that).
For the potty wand my plumbing store just hated that I was putting it in before the potties valve. Even though I put in a shut off valve before the wand, their concern is that these wands are not designed to have water pressure put to them at all time. But if you don’t put it in so that it can be the only open valve it doesn’t get enough pressure to do any good cleaning.
