Culligan RV-800

The camco tastepure didn't impress me last year. It did an ok job of getting rid of funky smells at a couple of the campgrounds for showering but I wasn't able to drink the well water and high-lime content water we find around here. Not wanting to go big dollar since we only camp about 30 nights a year.

Looking at amazon, the Culligan RV-800 caught my eye. It's an in-line similar in design to the tastepure but one thing that stands out is the filter element is much more fine, with a .5 micron vs 20 micron on the camco. For a couple dollars more, it looks like a worthy swap.

Anyone using one? I'd love to reduce the amount of bottled water we use when camping.

I use large whole house filter housing with a sediment filter element. You may be better served with a carbon filter element.
