dealer gripe
Upon hooking my trailer to live water for the first time yesterday, I noticed water spraying back out from the water inlet and also water draining down the supply line hoses inside the trailer. I removed the 3 screws (which had visibly been removed before), cut the sealant, and pulled the assembly out of the trailer wall. The back side of the water inlet had been stuffed with plumber's putty and re-installed at the dealer (Poulsbo RV). I noticed that there was no gasket in the hose bib, so I put in a $.25 gasket, reinstalled the water inlet and problem appears to be solved. I'm hoping this is a case of idiocy at the dealer and not a cover-up of something larger. I have already had my share of problems with the unit and hope to be moving forward with more positives! To be fair, Poulsbo RV did replace/repair the converter, microwave and fridge electrical lines and all seems to be working great.
