descaling water heater

hi
have any of you guys descaled your suburban water heater, i have changed heater anode in past but wondered if the tank should be cleaned to get rid of lime scale ?

has no one descaled their water heater, or does the anode take all the lime scale?

After I remove the anode I use a flexible wand attached to a hose and completely flush out the heater. I have a inspection camera to look inside the tank to check for any residue. I do this at least twice a year so it doesn't get too bad. Hope this helps.
