Dewinterizing
Obviously a newbie. Dewinterizing my 2507s with a water pure filter system. Cannot figure out to get water to water pump. Pump works fine but nothing coming out faucets. Did I miss a valve that should be open or closed? Thanks

how did you get the antifreeze into the rv when it was winterized? connect a city water hose where you pulled in the antifreeze, turn it on, and then go open all the faucets.
i don't know your rv but it either has a gravity fill port for putting water into the fresh water tank or it has a valve that directs water from the city water input port into the tank rather than sending it to the plumbing lines. if you have that valve hook the city water hose up to the city water input port and flip the valve to fill the fresh water tank.
depending on the model you may also have a valve that changes the water pump suction port from the fresh water tank to a separate antifreeze input port. if you pumped antifreeze in this valve was changed to the antifreeze port. change it back so the pump sucks from the fresh water tank.
after you flush out the anti freeze remember to reset the hot water bypass valves.
when you say the water pure filter system did you take the cartridge out before you pumped antifreeze? if the cartridge has been sitting in antifreeze you may want to change it with a new cartridge after you flush the antifreeze.
hope this helps!

Very helpful. Sounds like the antifreeze valve. I did pump the antifreeze in and remove the filter cartridge. Thank you!!!

Hi All,
Good morning. Just another day in Paradise. I know it sounds silly but you do have to have water in your tank for the pump to work. Hooking up to city water directly will not fill your tank.
Have a great weekend.

the antifreeze valve directs the pump suction input to pump from either the tank or the antifreeze inlet port.
several options to get water into the plumbing lines to flush out the antifreeze:
1. hook up city water and use it to flush the lines. this may not get the antifreeze out of the pump itself as the pump is not used)
2. get water into the tank and then use the pump to flush the lines (antifreeze valve must be in the normal or tank position).
3. get a large bucket of water, put a hose into it connected to the antifreeze input port, and use the pump to draw water from the bucket and into the lines (antifreeze valve must be in winterize setting).
you'll get it!

Should the antifreeze valve be parallel or perpendicular to the blue water line to use the fresh water tank
Thanks again

Can you post a picture of your valve?

Normally when a valve is parallel to it's line it is open, while perpendicular to it's line it is closed. Not necessarily to some other line in the system. Another way to check to see if your antifreeze valve is open/closed is after you have water in tank, turn on water pump then check the end of the antifreeze line to see if you hear it trying to suck liquid. If it is then the valve is open, if not then it is closed.
A picture of your valves and lines would help everybody here to better analyse your situation.
Read through this thread that WMTire (a site mgr) put together that may help with your question - https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...st-103381.html.
Good luck and happy camping - Be Safe

Typically, you want the valve to mimic the flow direction of whatever fluid you’re using.....water, antifreeze, booze?
