Dometic 310 Inlet Help

I was installing my brand new 310 today, and I over tightened the supply line nut, cracking it. I rushed to my local Lowes looking for a fix, (my water line is PEX and so I was going to install a Shark Bite shut off valve), but the 7/8" ballcock nut on the end won't fit. I went back, got one in 1/2", but the nut won't go far enough down on the threads. I'm stuck, I'm desperate, and I hate plumbing. Can somebody please help?

The fitting on the back of the Dometic 310 is 1/2".

The line coming from your supply if PEX will be 1/2".

This is what I would use to connect to the toilet:

If the supply line is a flexible line you will need an adapter to connect the push-on fitting.
