Dometic 310 toilet

I am replacing the toilet to floor seal in my 5th wheel which has started a small leak and wanted to know if anyone has replaced the toilet seat with a residential style seat? I would prefer using either a soft seat or oak seat but I am not sure if it will work.

I had the plastic seat, on the 310. The piece in back, that covers the tubing, was one piece with the seat. I replaced the seat with the Dometic wooden, slow close one, I bought it from Camping World. The piece in back is separate. It looks like a regular seat will fit, and I now have the back piece, so it will be easier. Others on this forum have used regular seats. I hope this helps.

I replaced my Dometic 320 toilet seat with a no-slam from Lowes. Only problem was reaching the bottom side of the toilet to bolt the seat on.
