Drain hose replacement on back of fridge

When I removed the old drain hose from the back of the fridge, it was intertwined with the coils. I am installing a new one. Is it necessary that this one is done that way, too?

Can't see why it would.. there are many videos on the net about these being replaced.
Seems that plastic and heat don't get along very well. I would also search for an alternate type(higher heat) hose. JMO
