Excessive length drain tubes

My rig is a 2021 Palomino Solaire 217BH.

The three low point drain tubes, one for the fresh water holding tank and one each for hot and cold, are ridiculously long from the factory. Literally they rub on speed bumps and if I am moving the camper in a grassy area, they drag in the grass and even dig into the dirt. The tubes are going to break at some point. So...I am cutting/shortening them all by a few inches. What in the world kind of clamps are on these things? Do I have to use the exact same kind or will an automotive type hose clamp of the worm-gear-and-screw type work? These RV drain lines are hard plastic as opposed to rubber lines for automobile applications. Worst case I'm guessing I can use some gasket sealer around the inlets of the drain valves and then get the clamps super-tight with a ratchet. Anybody have experience using automotive-type clamps for RV applications? Thanks in advance. Jim

Sounds like the standard PEX clamp and crimp connectors. They make a tool to crimp new bands on if you are so inclined.
I always cut off the PEX crimp bands and replace them with Sharkbyte push to connect fittings. Much easier and reusable as well.
For low point drain lines, I cut off the crimped band fittings and replace with a male pipe thread Sharkbyte fitting and then screw on a PVC quarter turn shut off valve.

Either cut them off and buy shark bite valves that just push up on the pipe or buy a cheap pex tubing crimper and clamp rings. Others may have tried automotive type breeze bands, but I doubt you will be able to tighten them enough without breaking them.
