Exclamation Exploding water tank

WARNING WHEN FILLING FRESH WATER TANK ON VIBE TRAILER: While filling the freshwater tank on our 2016 FR Vibe trailer, the tank exploded from overfilling. There is no visible overflow on the side of trailer (as there was on our old FR Puma trailer). it is now located underneath the trailer, out of easy viewing. It is easy to overfill the tank causing the tank to explode. Dealer repairs were $2,300.00 to replace the tank and repair damage from the tank explosion. Very poor design Forest River!!!! Why did you change it?????

First time I have ever heard of that happening. No overflow hose? Wow. It looks like it would back up and come out of the water fill though before rupturing the tank but they must be thin.

If a person fills a tank with a 5/8 hose and the vent/overflow is 3/8 the outcome can be "Not Good"! Simple math! Youroo! !

FR changed the design, poorly. According to the dealer, we are one of many this has happened to since the design change.

As Youroo said. A lot of the new trailers seem to have a hose connection to fill the holding tank, not an over sized fill that you stick a hose in. Therefore you can get city pressure on that tank if you don't fill slowly and watch it like a hawk. Very poor design in MHO.
Made sure our LaCrosse did not have that new "feature".
