fill fresh water tank from containers in truck bed

Hi all.
Looking to prove out a concept before I buy parts...
I have 2 15-gallon water tanks similar to these:
https://www.amazon.com/Gallon-Emerge.../dp/B07RG84S27
Tank does not have bottom fittings, only a single 2" diameter top bung-style opening.
I want to be able to place these tanks in the back of my truck bed, fill them with potable water, and then transfer the water into the fresh water tank on my 2608BS trailer.
With the tanks standing upright in the truck bed, the bottom of the tanks will be about 2 feet lower than the fresh water fill inlet on the trailer, so I'll need to pressure pump the water to the trailer.
Total hose run will be about 40-50'.
I want to purchase a 12V pump that will have an inlet and outlet hose. The inlet hose will need to be at least 6' and ideally more like 15'. The outlet hose will be 30+' and will go into the fresh water inlet.
My concerns with the pump... one, it has to be self priming. Two, I don't want so much pressure that it backs up at the trailer inlet and sprays back or puts too much load on the pump. Three, I don't want the cheapie pumps with the rubber impeller that wears out after an hour. Had too many of those in the past. Four, I want enough flow so I don't take an hour to transfer the water. Ideally, 3-5GPM. and five, I don't want to spend a lot of money on the pump. Ideally, the pump will be well under $100.

I looked at bilge pumps because they're cheap and really high flow. But I couldn't find anything that had an inlet hose; the one I thought might work, an Attwood Tsunami pump, may not because it's not self-priming. So I'm now looking at diaphragm pumps. This one caught my eye:
https://www.amazon.com/SHURFLO-4008-.../dp/B00W5GCQC2
At $75, it's in the wheelhouse...
So the layout... 15' drinking quality hose, threaded onto pump inlet. Pump mounted on a small board, wired to a trailer hitch plug. 50' white RV hose threaded onto pump outlet, pumping water into fresh tank.

What am I missing?

I use a pump as a back up to transfer water between tanks if our gas engine goes down that should meet your needs. It's the Ironton 12 volt transfer pump does 265 gallon per hour and only has an output of 20 psi. Northern Tool carries them.

I would get a duplicate water pump your RV has already. Likely perfect fit for your requirements and then if your water pump ever fails you have a replacement on hand...

Shurflo 2088-554-144 Fresh Water Pump, 12 Volts, 3.5 Gallons Per Minute, 45 Psi https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C1M6B1C..._VjFtEb1JMRJXF

You can purchase the hoses you need seperately and cut them to size.

I use a drill driven pump. Pump rate very good and the pump was about 35.00 cdn. Prob Menards would have a similar pump

Can always put a ball valve on output hose to slow down flow, even stop flow while you are standing at RV fill. My understanding is it's ok to restrict output on water pump, but never restrict inlet to pump.

This is the route I took. Pump is a direct replacement for the one in my TT. I just added power wires. Took a short potable water hose and cut it in half so I could slip it over the barb fittings the pump came with. I now have a male hose fitting on the output, a female hose fitting on suction side. I use my regular water hoses and can transfer water from as far away as I have hose.

I also added anderson plugs to my power wires. I can plug pump into trailer or tow vehicle where I've added similar plugs.

I can transfer water and also have a ready to go spare should my TT water pump fail.

As for the cheap "drill pumps", their use with potable water is questionable at best, especially the cheaper ones. Who knows what the rubber impeller contains.

Like others have mentioned, we use a duplicate pump to our tt pump, nice to have a spare on hand just in case and does the job well. I wired it up with a 7 pin plug and power it from the truck.

Here's what I did. I replaced the OEM pump in my previous TT with a new Shurflo 4008-101-E65 pump and re-purposed the OEM pump as my FW tank fill pump. I added a 30"± section of PEX on the suction hose to reach the bottom of the jugs I use since the braided hose doesn't want to un-curl, and I put a garden hose fitting on the output hose to connect a Camco Water Tank Filler with a valve.

Edit: The switch is in a weather-proof electrical box and the alligator clips connect directly to the battery. I've since bought a NOCO GB70 battery pack and now use a 12V cigarette lighter style plug for power. I can sit the power pack on a smallish portable table beside the water fill port.

thread in a schrader (tire filler) valve into the tote. Adapt a hose with connection at the top and bottom (nipple drilled/inserted into white cap with dip tube to bottom. Connect cheap 12 volt air compressor (good to have anyway for bikes, etc.) with a pressure regulator (all available from harbor freight for under 50.00). connect air compressor to schrader and fill hose between tank and trailer, voila, pressurized filling siystem and no extra pumps to carry
