fresh water drain

Picked up our new mh 2501t and I am trying to familiarize myself with all the systems, but not able to locate the fresh water drain? Also how do you know if the water heater is on gas or electric. The conveince panel only has on or off, with a small red light for the water heater.

Typically, the switch with the light if only for the gas ignition. Depending on the brand of water heater, there might only be a small rocker switch on the outside of the heater itself (outside access panel) for 110V operation and possibly no interior switch. I've gotten into the habit of just using the breaker as an interior switch as it's the only thing on that breaker.

My advice is for you to contact your dealer. You probably have more questions. People here on forums all have opinions but not necessarily correct facts. Your dealer should have gone over this with you on delivery.

The fresh drain on my 2450 is beside the pump and water filter. It's a valve on a blue line.

Careful, that's probably just your opinion and not a correct fact.

Sorry...I think I might have taken a previous comment personally and it probably wasn't meant that way.

My advise regarding forums and dealers is this: only believe about half of what a dealer tells you; they don't know near what they should most of the time and can give just as bad advice as anywhere else. Also, listen to what people here will tell you, but if it doesn't make sense to you, verify it. For instance, MrJoe doesn't have the exact model you have, but it's probably very similar....easy enough to check and see. Same thing with the water heater....if it's Suburban, it's probably got an external switch on it.
