How sure are you that the fresh water tank was full?

Not sure which model you have it could have a 30 or 50 gallons fresh water capacity with showers and dish washing, toilet ??? Sounds like you used all the water.

Part of that stays in the water heater (usually 6 gallons)

After several minutes filling it water came out as though over flowing. We have not had this issue except one other time. Are going to check the tank in the morning when we can see.

Did somebody turn the pump off by chance?

You may have an airlock in your fill vent. It would lead you to believe your tank is full when it isn't. Check to see if there is a low point in the vent line.

Without knowing the model number, it could have different sized FW tanks. So for all we know, your FW tank could be 20 gallons or 50 gallons.

I had the same issue only to realize that the low point drain cap on my hot water line came off during our 6 hour trip. Everytime I turned the hot water on it would pour out of the line. It was night time before we set up and didn't catch it until I saw the tank at 1/3 hours later. Learned my lesson and replaced with valves.

Help we are 3 days into ownership of a 2014 Forest River Solera 24R. First 2 nights we had water using our campsite hookup. Third night, no water hook-up so we thought we filled the fresh water tank only to discover it appears to have drained out?? (We had turned the pump in and had water for about 10 minutes l) what is the secret to holding water? PS previous owner had an on-demand water heater installed.
