Fresh water leak

I hooked up the water connection from my house to the city connection port on my RV. i was refilling the hot water heater after draining it out. I wanted to test the hot water heater before we went boondocking. i hooked it all up and went around the camper to the hot water heater and noticed water leaking out the back of the camper, i turned the water off at the house. i looked all inside the camper and nothing was leaking inside. i could hear water flowing in the camper behind the city connection port. After i could not figure out how to get into that area i completely drain all the water out of the camper, using the low point drains and drained out the fresh water tank. I did not want any water to keep leaking and damage any of the wood. i cant get into a repair shop because there all booked. i want to make a few more trips before winter comes. if anyone can give any tips on how i can diagnose this issue, or had the same problem i would appreciate it! thanks!

One thing you could try is to fill the fresh water tank, then try filling the water heater using the water pump. If it doesn't leak you could still go on your boondock trip and have some knowledge that the leak is associated with the city water fill port.

Another (and perhaps better) idea is to call a mobil RV Tech person to come to your location and fix the leak.

Also, consider putting the type of TT you own in your signature so others with that model can offer more specific advice.
