Fresh water surflow pump model 4800.

I think the ck valve is stuck. It will not pump water. Is there an easy way to fix it

You can try to open a few faucets and turn the pump on and off a few times to see if it's debris caught in the check valve that will dislodge.

They also make repair kits for them. Or you could just install a check valve at the pump.

If you can pull the suction line off and prime (with a short temp hose) or make sure there actually is water there, sometimes that helps.

Check valves usually stick/get jammed open.

I'm assuming the pump is running?

I don’t think that the check valve would stop the pump from pumping.

Probably air in the water lines or pump...or the pump has gone bad.

If your pump has a low pitched hum, but no water delivery, it may be in by in by-pass mode. The first thing I would check is for back-pressure in the outside CW connection. Remove the cap and reach in with your finger and press the check valve button to release any pressure. Stand to the side though, as you may get a bath if pressure is there.

When I took mine apart. I saw no problem. I cleaned everything off with clear water and reassemble. It then worked fine. Since I already had it replaced, I now carry it as a spare.

Is it just not pumping water but you hear it running? More details would help.

I had same problem, got new pump. Still no water. Tried a lot of things, after a few days I removed the little filter from the pump and fixed! Their were small cracks in it, sucking air not water. I now have a spare pump!

That has happened to me several times. I took the pump apart and cleaned it to no avail. It seems to loose its prime somehow. The cure for mine has proven to be the outside shower. Somehow when I use the outside shower it helps prime the pump and everything works fine again. I don't know if it is not completely shutting off and therefore drawing air of if it is just the lowest faucet on the trailer and allows the pump to prime. I did buy another pump just to have as a spare but have not needed to use it in 2 years. It just makes me feel better to have it.
