Fresh water system problem

Hello we’re new rv owners bought a Rockwood mini lite 2205s we are out on our 2nd one week getaway and have had this issue from the start. When hooked up to city water our fresh water tank always fills up and overflows you can here water going through the pump under the bathroom sink. It was fine until I took a shower and was using the showermiser system. Now just have city water off and pump on which goes on and off periodically when no one is using the water. Does anyone know if the check valve is located in the pump itself and is that the problem appreciate any helpful suggestions

The check system is in the pump, do not run the pump and city water together, to clear it, shut the city water off and run your pump only for awhile, it should reset. Then turn the pump off and only use city water, but not both together, I pretty common problem. Till a person learns.
