Fresh water tank issue Hemisphere 282RK

When I am using the fresh water tank (not connected to city hook-up) I've run into an issue where after several gallons of use, I loose all water supply. The tank still has fresh water in it both according to the gauges and if I open the fresh water drain, at least 10-15 gallons will drain out. When dry camping, I'm only using fresh water tank for toilet, dishes, and hand washing so I know I'm not draining the supply. The gray and black tanks aren't full either.

So, why am I loosing supply? is there a pick-up line in the fresh water tank that is set too high so even though there is water in the tank, it is above the water level? Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

from what specs i found online, you have a 44 gal fresh tank cap, and a whopping 16 gal water heater ???

that is almost half your total water cap right there.

so after you fill your tank, and the first time you turn on your water pump does it run for a while? my theory is you are putting the majority of the water in your water heater tank.

Id turn on your pump (to charge your system and top off the water heater) when your tank is at least half full and then continue filling your tank to top her off.

this mod would allow you to use that extra 10-15 gals

and remember, just because you have 16 gals of hot water but an "empty" water tank, the pump will not have any water to push (either to your water heater or next open water source, toilet, sink etc.)

It does sound like the pump suction isn't near the bottom of the tank. Some use a dip tube and some just put the suction line into the side of the tank near the bottom.

There have been a few reports of people teeing the pump suction line into the drain line and that way they get many more gallons of water out of the tank.

What happens if you stop the pump and wait for a few minutes and try it again? Is there still no water or do you get some?
Could be a kinked line
