Galley tank

Hello, I have a 2004 Montana Mountaineer 5th wheel. I purchased it recently from a private party. I seem to be having trouble with my galley tank not emptying. I have the grey tank handle open that’s located in the rear of the trailer. I’ve emptied both grey and black and my sensor is still reading that my galley tank is full ? Help!! I need to do dishes and I’m afraid to run any water

Even though the Montana is not a Forest River product, all OEM RV sensors are notoriously inaccurate.
And previous owners may not have properly maintained the holding tanks.

Leave the grey water valve open and the cap off the sewer connection, obviously. Run water into the sink and watch the drain. If water comes out with the faucet on, and stops coming out when the faucet is turned off you will know the tank is really empty and it is a sensor problem.
