Galley tank not draining.

The pull cable for my galley tank pulls like it's not connected to anything until the last inch of travel. Nothing drains out then either. The camper is a 2014 Vengeance 39R12 5th wheel. Never had a problem with this in the almost two years we have had it. It almost feels like/sounds like the cable is loose right behind the water panel. Can I get to the back of the panel from the top side by removing the mattress and plywood? If it's not that, I know I'll have to be cutting out the plastic and insulation to get at the gate valve itself. At least I'm on concrete and in Florida !
Any advice would be appreciated !
Thanks

Update! I took a closer look at the panel, and found 6 screws holding on a carpeted side panel. Once that was removed, I was able to easily get to the back of the panel and see that the cable housing had pulled out of the handle. Shoved it back in with some super glue and re-crimped the connection. Works like a champ! Will eventually have to replace the cable, but for now it's good to go.
