Glass Shower Panel Fell Out and Shattered

We have a 2104s and just went to pick it up for a trip and found that the far left shower panel fell out and completely broke and shattered. Any ideas where to get a replacement part and repair quickly (obviously can’t be done today).

I know through our dealer it could take months. We have a long trip planned in a couple of weeks and it will be impossible now if we don’t get it fixed.

Thanks for any help.

Having no shower is not the end of the trip.....unless you want it to be the end.
Most campgrounds have shower facilities.....maybe not your first choice, but it does offer an alternative.

Getting the exact replacement, installed properly and in a timely manner, is not what most people can expect from any dealer.

As a DYI, if the shower is a MUST HAVE?

I’d buy a sheet of Lexan (not plexiglass....it can shatter) from any of the Big Box stores and see about some install using clear Gorilla tape. This stuff really sticks.

Another temp fix.....once again a Big Box store....telescoping curtain rod and shower curtain.

There......departure is still on schedule.

Don’t let something like this make your trip impossible. Improvise. If you are unable to get the panel replaced in time, get a shower curtain and clamp it to the top rail of the shower enclosure. It may not be pretty (but it could be), but it will keep you from changing your plans.

I believe their shower enclosure is curved, so getting a piece of Lexan to fit would be difficult. I think they should do as you suggest and use the bathouse or go the shower curtain route.

Don't know if this might help, short-term. It's a curved, adjustable shower rod from Wally World, ~$20.

Thank you all. I guess a bit of hysteria set in because of the shock and mess. Off to buy a shower curtain and clamp it on!

Just can’t figure out how this happened.

Shower

Hello, in the past I had to get some hardware for my shower doors, and found the manufacture from a sticker on the shower. Your shower is different than mine. I googled the info and emailed the company. They sent me the parts for no charge. Not sure if they would do it for a glass panel, but it's worth a try.

Lexan will bend into almost any shape. I picked up a 4x10 sheet and rolled it up into a roll about 12 inches in diameter to transport in the back of a pickup . Very flexible stuff.

They use it for curved glass windshields of chopped top 60s cars.

I had mine break last last fall. I had to go to a glass shop and order a new tempered ripple glass panel. It took a week to come in 1/2 hour to install and job done

If it's like mine ...three piece that folds they are all three flat panels. There is a clear sticker on the bottom of one panel that has the manufacturers name on it. The stories of shower doors shattering are numerous. I'm surprised we don't hear of more broken ones in rv's

Does the 2104S have an outside shower? Why not just use that?

I thought I was so smart and just thought of that. 😉

We will definitely call a local glass shop. For now i did a plastic temp job for while we are away. All is good.

Ours shattered last summer. There were glass pieces everywhere. It took a while to clean up and was heavy. We used a $2 shower curtain. connected to the rail with clips.
We ordered a new panel from our local glass business and its working great. I’ve started using a pool noodle to secure it now. It’s more cushiony.

If that ever happens to me I am going to put up a curved rod with curtain . I could use a few more inches of room anyway.

Is it common to have glass shower doors in RVs? Seems like an accident waiting to happen.

Probably fine if no scratches in the glass.
