Good enough?

I have two outings so far on my new TT. Each outing was three days long and water was drained at the end of each trip. I decided to check my anode today and was surprised at how much has been eaten away already. Not knowing what to expect, I'd like to ask here if this anode would be good for another few months of use? I plan to buy another one just to have a spare. Thanks in advance for any help!

From what I have read you could reuse that rod with no problem.
A spare is a good idea IMHO.

Yep, I'd say you're good to go for several more months, at least.

I had the same anode in my Roo 23SS water heater for almost 4 years. Just keep a check on it.

Mine looked like that 2 years ago. Very little deterioration since. I bought a new one about a month ago, but after looking at my old one when I drained the tank it's going back in for a fourth season. At this rate I think I'll get a couple more years out of it.

Wow, thanks for all the quick responses! I'll still get another one though.

Yeah that has lots of life yet. I've taken a friends out before, after about 3 years and there was a thin thread left towards the nut end and the rest of the rod was very deeply pocked.

Cool, one thing about it if you do not use it on this trailer you may be able to use it on the next one, unless you get an Atwood.

If you're going to continue draining the tank after each trip you'll probably have years of trouble free use from this one and have a good handle on the deterioration. If you have an RV store handy I'd hold off buying a spare until you really need one and save losing or damaging it before you even get to use it. If you don't have a store handy then for sure get one so you're ready when the inevitable happens.
