Got to cut supply lines....
Need assistance from experienced RVers who have cut water lines..... Getting ready to install another faucet at the bathroom sink and I will need to shorten the supply lines....once I cut these, what can I get at Home Depot to re-attach the fittings that thread onto the faucet???....Help appreciated.

Most use the shark bite fittings from HD. Do you need to cut the lines? When I changed my faucet I was able to just finagle them in place.

When I removed the old set, the lines were extremely tight... the new faucet is a much better Delta faucet and drops down about another 2 inches inside the vanity....as stiff as that supply line material is, I don't think I can get away with that much bending.

I bought the fittings rings and tool at home depot but the tool was very expensive and I have used them for other jobs so for me was OK. the 1/2 inch is what works and I have no leaks....

Maybe you can get away with adding a flexible water line. There is all kinds of adapters you can get at Home Depot or Lowes.

If you use Shark-bites, get the plastic release tool for future removal (cheap) Also, if your handy with side cutters, the crimp clamps could be used......I've got a pair with the cutting part 90 deg. to the handle

Lowes has a set of crimp pliers for about $30...or Amazon of course. I bought a pretty good assortment of pex style fittings. I think I am ready when repairs or mods happen. I am installing a drinking water filer/faucet as we speak. The clamp type is what I chose. My crimpers are Apollo.
BTW Home Depot wanted $65 for a similar set of crimpers.

Jus get two 1/2" SharkBite couplings, cut each of the lines in an easy location, connect them to the new faucet and couple the two pieces back together with the couplings.

The cutting tool for schedule 40 sprinkler pipe works fine with PEX. Get the push on fittings if you can find them, otherwise use the ones with the righting ring.

Look down below where the lines come thru the floor, they may be anchored and can be loosened or repositioned.

Went ahead and cut them...got the Sharkbite coupling with one end 1/2 inch male threaded and will attach 12 inch flexible faucet supply line to that....going ahead and replacing the cheap plastic sink with a new acrylic sink with a pop-up drain(tired of the stopper it came with) and with a set of Delta faucets.
