grey and black tank sensors are not working!!

Hi my wife and I are new to the RV world. We just purchased a 2018 Forester. Its a beautiful RV. There are a few minor issues. The main one deals with the black and grey tank sensors. They both show empty all the time. I tried the dish detergent trick no luck. I don't think blocked sensors are the reason anyway because they show only empty. I believe its electrical. The RV does have the One Control system. I've rebooted the system to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions as to where I should look? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have/can you see the sensors on the outside of the tanks? If so, verify that the wires are properly secured. If I remember correctly, there are 4 wires and sensor lugs. I assume the one all by itself towards the bottom of the tank is the ground (and white wire on ours). Maybe the ground wires are not properly attached??? That would fit with the always empty reading.

Sounds electrical to me as well. Tank sensors are mostly worthless anyway. I even installed fancy aftermarket ones and they didn't work well either. Eventually, you learn. We can go three days [frugally] on grey water and five days on black. I never look at my sensors.
