Hemisphere water tank won’t fill

Hello everyone. We just purchased a preowned 2018 Hemisphere 300BH. The PO always had it connected to city water. When we got it home, we did the same so we could clean and prep for our maiden outing. While at home, the tank mysteriously filled and began over flowing out of the tank vent. Some research here pointed to a dirty diaphragm In the pump. No worries, I’ll fix that some other time. I proceeded to drain the tank on our way to the campground so I could refill with fresh water. With the hose connected to the freshwater inlet(screwed hose on), it just builds pressure in the hose and won’t actually fill. I don’t know if the two problems are connected, but I can’t for the life me find another valve anywhere. PO is no help. Thanks in advanced.

Is it possible the water tank is a "Gravity Fill". Is there a fill port somewhere on the outside with a cap on it, perhaps behind a small door with key lock?


Most water tanks are filled one of two ways (excluding the leaking water pump check valve ). Either with a valve that allows flow from the water hookup to the tank or through a gravity fill port where you have to add water from a hose or portable container.
