Hole thru outside wall in bathroom
We have owned our camper since July of last year and I just noticed a hole under the bathroom sink thru the outside wall. I saw the access from the outside but didn't know where it was inside until just now. I'm actually glad I found this... I'll be able to use it for my WIFI antenna wire!
I'm just curious if anybody knows what this might really be used for.

That is where the shore power cord entered the R/V. Seems someone removed the permanently wired cord. Did someone install a removable 120v connection nearby?
The slot in the lid allowed the lid to be closed on the cord when pulled out and the cord was pushed into the port and stored inside the R/V when unplugged. The plug would reside just inside the lid when unplugged and stored and the lid snapped shut with the tab.

Oh! That makes sense. I didn't think about electric. The picture with that port closed shows the city water connection, fresh water tank inlet, and electric below it. The port that our 30 amp cord is stored in does look similar.
I wouldn't have guess electric at all. Where the 30 amp cord is stored is closer to the fuse panel.

Maybe someone added it for something else.
If you already have the same kind of hatch for your shore power cord then I have no clue other than someone maybe wanted to run an electric heater off the 20a outlet in the pedestal and they added the hatch to run an extension cord through there??

It's for the power cord. Cord is permanently mounted to the trailer -- was -- and the hole is to just stuff the cord back in the storage cabinet without having to remove it. Used to be a standard type of connection, we had it on our popup several years ago. Until I did the same thing and made the cord detachable and gained a nice interior cabinet that was previously full of often damn, dirty power cord.

Yup. I have a hose inside the vanity cabinet that leads to the port on the outside like this so I can attach my grill.

I have the same quick connect set like that on our old ! 1987 Jayco popup. The hose came out of that port and you can take the stove outside and hook it up.

My thoughts exactly, either a space heater or blow dryer. Kind of a cheesy looking "mod" with that big gaping hole there.

Everyone: Thanks for your replies! Whatever it used to be for, I'm glad it is there. I'll make use of it... The electric cord port mentioned previously seems likely. The person that did that mod is probably the same one who added a CB radio to the entertainment center with a mobile antenna mounted thru that same outside wall.

I put a small hole with a drill bit what can I use to patch the outside wall I have the flat siding 26 rbws

Does the camper predate having a tank backflush? Possibly a way to place an outside hose inside the bathroom to fill/flush tanks quickly by filling toilet or sink?
Or possibly for a 120v power cord for an inside electric heater during winter, to keep pipes from freezing.

I was going to suggest the need for the backflush as well.
Sounds reasonable for a phantom hole in the side
