Hot water issure

A few weeks ago our 5th wheel Forrest river Blue Ridge 2950RK had a water element go out. The water wasn't getting as Hot so I checked it out, took the bad one off and sent the wife to the nearest dealership to get one. Here's my problem, ever since I replaced it the water still doesn't get that Hot and ive tested both with ohm meter both showing good. Is there something else I can check or do they have different temps they sale. I hate this because we can't even shower without running out now

Well, interesting question, but not enough info. Could you shower before the element change with only the electric on? How big is the water heater? They do make different wattage elements, but don't put one in more than the electric can handle. If you put the water heater on propane can you shower without running out? The reason for all the questions, you didn't say why it went out, as they seldom do, unless you turn them on with an empty tank. There is also a thermostat in the circuit that could have malfunctioned. Separate from the propane thermostat. Take your time and figure it out, no need to just start replacing stuff, unless you have a large wallet.

Double check to ensure that the WH bypass valve isn't open.

Can you get lots of hot water with the WH on propane?

Well it went out because I forgot to cut it off on a move. I have plenty of hot water when propane is on also.

The best I can tell and check over, everything is good. Can someone tell me where the thermostat is and is there a way to check it?

Make and model of hw heater?

Look in the files section upper right hand side of web page.
There is a manual and diagnostic on hw heaters.

The high limit reset button is located behind two rubber donuts.
See first picture.
Under the donuts are two thermostats; one on the left is AC and the one on the right is DC/Propane.

Note in the second photo the left (AC) limit switch has failed (the wire connecting the high and low limit switches is melted).
