Ice maker?

Have a 2014 36ckts and was wondering how to get ice maker to work? Is there a valve I need to turn on?

On our 2013 36ckts there is a push/pull type valve under the slide. We don't use the icemaker so I've never turned ours on.

Not sure how your ice maker is set up but 2 simple things to check... One, is it getting water? If you have water at the sink but not to the ice maker, you may have an inline shut off valve somewhere that needs to be opened. Two, there is thin metal arm on most ice makers. When there is not enough ice in the ice tray the arm drops and triggers the ice maker to make more ice... Be sure there isn't anything restricting that arm from coming down. It should move freely both up and down.

Hope this helps.

What they said ^^^^^^........

Dang valve is hard to get to......reasons unknown. It's on my list of "Custom Changes Needing To Be Made" someday......if possible. It took me long time to find it originally. On the wire arm, it is unlike our old home refrigerator's arm in a way......it is more 'firm' in it's closed position. You have to push it pretty hard to get it up (closed) or down (functional). I was afraid I'd break it at first. FYI.

Depending on model of fridge (residential), it may also have an on/off selector on the menu.

I guess this happens when you put a reefer on a slide. 1/4 feed line is flexible, but not predictably. However, I don't see why the valve can't be closer to the solenoid on the back of the reefer rather than under the slide.

It is inconvenient. Ours is not too difficult to reach when the slide is out. I suppose once you turn the valve on to make the ice maker operational there would be no reason to turn it off again so it would just be a one time thing. All it does is open the waterline to allow water to get to the ice maker.

I think ours is farther back over the wheels. Just going from memory I'll have to look at it and try to get a picture but it'll be a couple of days before I get a chance.

Ours is farther back than I remembered. It is about 18" behind the rear jack. It's a white plastic push/pull type valve. The waterline for the icemaker runs from there under the slide to the fridge. Sorry I can't add a picture. When I click on the paperclip it only gives me options to edit the photo.

Not sure what platform you are using (mobile app or PC) but if on PC and you click on the paperclip there should be another pop-up box open where you can upload photos.

On the mobile app, when you click on the paperclip it should open your photo gallery where you can select a photo.

I'm using the mobile app on an android Samsung phone. When I click on the paperclip it opens my gallery, when I select the photo I get a choice of several editing options across the bottom but no choice to insert the photo. Thanks
