Icemaker Issue
I'm having a minor, niggling problem with my icemaker. I have a Whirlpool 3 door residential refrigerator with icemaker in bottom freezer.
The ice is being made fine, fast enough. But many cubes are either A) hollow, or B) have liquid water inside some of the hollow parts.
Then, the center of the ice bin is also always frozen up, clumped up, with ice. Not a big spot, just in the center.
When I Google the problem of hollow ice, it says that this problem is usually an issue of a kinked supply hose, and almost never the fault of the actual ice maker. However, I can't find any kinks, and that wouldn't seem to explain the clumps or the unfrozen middles.
Short of unscrewing the two big old lag bolts that CC put in to stabilize this thing at FROG, and pulling it out, anyone have an idea?
